Rackets Preschool Day!

The children are greeted in at 9am by a familar member of staff. The children then go into freeplay choosing what they would like to play with untill around 10am. 10am the chidren will begin wake and shake, getting their heart rates racing with a range of dances, parachute or just running around!  At around 10:15am-10:30am the children then go and wash their hands for snack time. The children chose from a range of healthy fruits and vegetables and 1 carb option e.g. crackers, breadsticks. Once snack has finished the children then go into adult led concept time to work on their next steps, e.g. cutting, shape recognition, textures. 11am its time for the BOTANICAL GARDENS! The children either go for a walk to see the birds, butterflies and fish or have fun exploring the play area. 11:45am its back to Rackets for a lunchtime story and hometime for our morning session children. Lunch is served at 12pm-12:15pm. 1pm and the fun starts all over again mirroring the mornings routine.

Early Year Foundation Stage

At Rackets Preschool we use a range of ways to track your child progress. We use an app called TAPESTRY for you to be able to be apart of your child's journey in which we post observations on.

We follow the 'EYFS' also known as The Early Years Foundation Stage. We follow three prime areas Personal Social & Emotional Development, Communication & Language and Physical Development with excitng child-led activities out daily to support the areas of learning. We also have four specific areas of learning, Understanding The World, Literacy, Maths and Expressive Arts & Design in which the children will also have activities to support the areas.

The Botanical Gardens offers great support to the childrens learning giving them different expierences daily!

Partnership with parents

At Rackets Preschool we love to get the parents, grandparents family members and carers involved in everything we do! We put on lots of workshops throughout the year e.g. Valentines, grandparents day, Mother's day and many more. We have a great time celebrating each event with parents and sometimes its jut so nice to see your child in their nursery enviroment! We hold parent reviews three times a year to discuss your childs progress.
